If you want a holiday that’s fun, exciting and not too exotic, the USA offers options galore. With the US dollar at such a low, now’s a good time to make your plans, book your flight, pack your bags, and head for amazing America!
This month, Travel Bug gives you an insight into some of the most popular American cities, starting with Las Vegas.
VIVA LA LAS VEGAS!It’s no gamble making a trip to this famously decadent city, as there’s never a dull moment here, day or night.
First-time visitors to this wondrous man-made oasis, set in the midst of the Nevada’s Mojave Desert, will think they’ve stepped into a mirage! Las Vegas is home to some of the world's largest, most spectacular and tackiest hotels and casinos, created solely for the human pursuit of pleasure and entertainment.
Don’t think that it’s all bright lights and sleaze, though. This family-friendly city is in fact somewhat of a real-life Disneyland and Hollywood, and you don’t have to pay a cent to enter this fantasyland (which grows more and more fantastic with each passing year).
Just walk around the strip and you’ll come upon the most awesome sights, like a sailing ship and gigantic cascading water feature that catches fire, a flaming volcano, replica of the Eiffel Tower and miniature Venice.
Apart from soaking in such amazing sights, you can also ride roller coasters, play amusement games and bag gorgeous stuffed toy prizes, swim in hotel pools with slides and waterfalls, catch world-class theatre/music/magic performances and enjoy very affordable and delicious grub.
