This is becuase of the GST that singapore govt will tax (7 pct)
if you exceed usd195.00
But if you need to buy anything that exceed usd 195.00
you can always join comgateway.com directly thro ocbc or hsbc
or dbs card
and you can shop up to your heart contend
but remember you are subject to gst. 7pct. if you exceed
i think above usd195 or 200 depending on what the custom
use as usd/sgd exchange rate
but its should be around that amount

Hmmm....I think you would not be able to buy that item then. As for the US$195.00 limit. I think its stated somewhere in the Spree overview guide that it is to avoid goods being taxed by customs...read it a while back...haha
