Graduates pay

ST keeps saying that fresh graduates these days get paid $2,900. Is this true? What are graduates been paid if they are in the workforce for say 5 years and above? Please state your industry, pay and which univ you come from - local or foreign, biz or others. Thanks

Guess current meltdown will restrict whether if the starting pay may still be in 2.9k salary. Think most companies will restrict on such a 'huge' payroll

I think have to take ST articles with pinch of salt. Now seems like no longer employees market as economy's slowing down. Maybe if you are lucky to join big companies like IBM, can command $2.9K starting pay. But only if you're really lucky, I think.

hmm I'm also interested to know. It seems the figures are only for those who get straight A's. Not for common folks like us. =/
