Advice needed for Amazon spree shipping charges.....

Hi can anyone advice on the shipping charges for Amazon? As from what I understand, they have alot of small merchants under their store, and those merchants have their own shipping policy/charge, does Amazon charge me their shipping charges on top of the small merchant's??
