Shipping Calculations

Shipping from the US to your doorstep is a 3-stage process, namely:

i) US domestic shipping
ii) US – Singapore international shipping, &
iii) Local delivery within Singapore

Please take a look at the picture for an illustration.

In summary, the amount you pay is, to a great extent, in proportion to the cost of your order relative to the total cost of the entire package. This method of computation ensures fairness such that the cheaper your order, the less you pay. Take a look at the calculation method below.

* Base Charge is a flat fee of US$10

** International Shipping is charged at US$4 for the first kilogram and US$2 for each subsequent half-kilogram.

# Break Bulk Handling is charged at a flat rate of US$2 per transaction.

Each buyer will be allocated a ratio (R) that will be applied to the US domestic shipping and base charge  to ensure a fair sharing of logistics elements.

Cost of your item
R =

(A) [Cost of item X 1.05(service fee)] + {[US domestic shipping charge X 1.05(service fee)] * R}

(B) [Base Charge* X R] +

(C) Bulk Break Handling USD$2

The total cost of acquiring your items from US merchants = (A) + (B) + (C)

The USD rate which comGateway uses is according to the Singapore Customs.

Please note that conversion of item cost happens at the start of the transaction while conversion for international shipping cost happens at the end of the transaction hence the USD rates used for both situation may differ
